Week 2

This week seems like it is just flying by! We have been super busy again this week in Year 5...

In Numeracy, we are becoming a lot more confident with Multiplication and Division. We have been gaining a stronger understanding of multiples, factors and common factors.

In Literacy, we have been looking at how convincing setting and character descriptions help build a fantastic narrative where the reader can really visualise where in the World their book is set as well as creating a love (or hate!) of other characters. We had an exciting sugar paper lesson where we wrote character descriptions for our current reading book 'Holes' using adjectives, similes and metaphors!

Talking about our book 'Holes', we are beginning to read on into Part 2 and it is definitely getting more and more tense! Stanley and Zero have now escaped Camp Green Lake, will they ever make it back alive?
