Week 3
RE
In RE, we read Esther’s story as a class. Then, the children worked in groups to act out part of the story. After that, we put our parts of the story together and re-enacted the story as a class.
MFL Day
On Thursday, we had an MFL day at Southglade. Our focus country in year 3 was Spain. The children performed Spanish dances such as the Flamenco and Macarena, played Spanish games with Mrs Drage and completed some mosaic art work influenced by Gaudi. 3B also completed a big write celebrating the La Tomatina festival.
Maths
In Maths, we are still learning about the time. We have been working on telling the time on a 24 digital clock this week. The children have tried very hard with this. Well done year 3!
Literacy
In Literacy, we have been drafting and editing play scripts for chapter 5 of 'The Firework Maker's Daughter.' The children wrote their final version into their writing portfolio on Friday.
