Week 1

This half term we will be reading the book 'The Great Kapok Tree' by Lynne Cherry.

It is a beautiful book all about the Amazon rainforest and the animals that live there.

In English we will be writing a letter to the woodcutters in the book to try and persuade them to not chop down the tree.

Our curriculum topic this half term is Geography and we will be focusing on the Amazon rainforest with an emphasis on saving the planet and why it is important to look after our environment.
