World Book Day 2020

WOW! What a fantastic world book day we have had. Well done to all the pupils for their fantastic costumes for WBD. You all looked fantastic.

We have been extremely busy today finding out all about our focus author- Jeff Kinney.

Jeff Kinney is best know as being the author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. We have done lots of research about him and have thought about what inspired him to be an author. We completed challenges such as designing the next book in the series and even wrote a letter to him asking him questions and describing why we enjoy reading his books.

On Friday, we celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi. We researched Holi using the iPads, before creating our own party invitation inviting our friends to our own Holi celebration party. 3EB even had a special visitor from a Hindu temple!

In the afternoon, we created Holi cards and paint splattered banners. Then, we threw coloured paper as Hindus often celebrate Holi by throwing coloured paint.
