In Autumn 1, we will be using the book Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura. 

 

Our first half term focuses on an enquiry question. Our question is 'I wonder would I rather live in The Stone Age or The Iron Age?'. Our curriculum, Science and English lessons focus on aspects of this question, but it will be investigated deeply during Awe and Wonder week and our curriculum lessons.

 

In English, we will be exploring instructions, letters and non-chronological reports.The book will accompany our English lessons as well as being an insight into The Stone Age. 

 

As our inquiry question focuses on The Stone Age and The Iron Age, we will be carrying out lots of fun and practical activities. We will be creating our own cave paintings, investigating what early humans would have eaten, and we will even be creating our own woolly mammoth!
