19.01.21- Maths- Lesson 2
Dividing a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number (with remainders)
Building on yesterday's lesson, today you are moving onto looking at division with remainders. This is where, when you divide, you have an amount left over/ the number you are dividing by is not divisible. e.g. 13 divided by 4. I know that I can see two lots of 4 in 13, as 4 x 3 = 12. This gives me 1 left over so my answer would look like this- 13 divided by 4 = 3r1. The 'r' shows us that it is a remainder.
