For our phonics activity today we will be introducing rhyming words. Rhyming words are words that sound the same at the end of the word, such as cat, mat, rat. To help us to begin to find rhyming words we will be looking at a number of different nursery rhymes.
We will use the songs to help us look for repeating rhyming words which will help us to hear them.
In the video we will sing the songs together then break it down and find the rhyming words.
You can also find lots of nursery rhymes on you tube that you can use to explore this further such as Miss Polly has a dolly and Hey Diddle Diddle.
Todays nursery rhyme is Hickory Dickory Dock, please follow the link below to Mrs Bettridge's video.
For today's maths lesson we will be exploring more and fewer. We will be revisiting our counting and number recognition skills and using them to identify which set has more or fewer.
In todays video Miss Brierley will being counting apples on her tree. Can you help her find out how many apples she has on her tree and how many have fallen off? Which has more apples and which has fewer?
