Week Three

We spent our time this week editing our instructions for How to train your dragon to ensure we had included all of the key features needed. Then, we wrote our instructions into our published write books. Some of our instructions even ended up on display!

Week Two

This week, we have focused on planning and writing our own instructions. We used our understanding of the key features to write our own set of instructions, ensuring we used conjunctions and adverbs. We have also spent our time planning how we will use plural possessive apostrophes, as these are very tricky to use!

Week One

This week, we have been immersing ourselves in our new text type- instructions. We have written instructions for how to make a jam sandwich (which our teachers tried to follow!), improved poor instructions and wrote more instructions on our own workout video and how to care for a dragon egg! We had a busy week in Year 4, but we now understand instructions a lot better and are ready to write our own instructions that are based on our focus text- How to Train Your Dragon.
