We are exploring the 'ai' phonics family this week and developing our understanding of this during our vocabulary lesson. Please watch the 'ai' family video below and complete the activities to apply the different sounds in words.
Please watch Miss Robbins reading the story of Paddington Bear, which is the text we will be using this half term.
Today, we are thinking about character descriptions of Paddington Bear. Have a look at the image of Paddington and write adjectives about the image to describe what he looks like. There are also statements to match and say if they are true or false for Paddington based on his image.
For maths, we will be essentially doing the same work that we would have been doing in class.
This week is a consolidation week for addition and subtraction. Each day, there will be two to three videos that follow a similar structure to the maths lessons in school.
Begin by joining in with some counting with Mr Land.
Next look at the Number Sense acitivity.
Now you are ready for the main part of the lesson. First watch the video below.
Now try the questions in the following documents. There are three levels of challenge. Most of you should be doing the hard or hardest challenges.
We are continuing our observations of how various things change over the course of the year. Watch the video below of Mr land explaining.
Next fill in the sheet or record your observations somewhere else. Make a prediction about what you think may have changed when we do this again in five weeks time.
Choose a video and watch a teacher reading a story. Or even better, read to your grown up and get them to read one to you!
