Week 5
Literacy
In Literacy, we have started learning about instructions. The children have practiced giving each other instructions and we learnt about the importance of instructions being in time order, specific and clear. The children have sorted unclear and clear instructions and have also re-written some jumbled instructions explaining how to put the Iron Man back together.
Maths
In Maths, we have started our new topic: fractions. We have learnt that fractions are part of a whole. The children created visual representations of fractions using objects found in the classroom.
RE
In RE we read the Easter story and the children worked in small groups to create a freeze frame of part of the story.
Geography
In Geography, we have been learning how to read maps. This week we focused on using grid references to locate different streets in the local area of Bestwood.
