Spring 1
On Monday when it snowed we really enjoyed going outside to play. As there wasn't enough to build a snowman we thought about what else we could do instead.
We looked at how we could make different patterns using lots of different items from nursery such as brushes, scrappers, rakes, playdough cutters and our footprints.
We compared the sizes to find the biggest, smallest and things that were the same. We also used the buckets and scoops to scoop the snow up and try and make mini snowmen.
Everyone had a great time.
We also talked about what we had been doing at home with our families in the snow over the weekend. It was lovely to see everyone so excited and having a great time.
If you have any photos we would love to see them.
Lots of our children are really interested in Doctors and hospitals at the minute so we have set up our surgery in nursery. We have our doctors kits and coats so we look the part.
Some of the teachers have been really poorly patients and the doctors have made us feel better with special medicine, injections and even removed our teeth.....before gluing them back in!
The children have been using some great language throughout their play really expressing their ideas and interests.
We had ago at using bandages for bumped heads and legs that were falling off!
We have used our mark making and handwriting skills to give our patients prescriptions for kiwi medicine
We are having a great time exploring our Doctors role play and learning about how Doctors and Nurses look after us.
