Today's activity is leaf rubbings. 

                   

 

All you need are some dry leaves and a crayon.

Look in your garden for some different leaves.  What do you notice about the leaves, look for how the leaves are different.  The sizes, shapes and colour of the leaves.

 

 Put a piece of paper over the dry leaf and then rub the crayon over the top.  Look at the patterns you have made from each leaf.

 

Challenge:

Look at the parts of a plant.  Can you label the parts of a plant using the flower, stem, leaf and roots.
