Dear Parents,

Welcome back to our new school year, and a big “hello” to all the new families who have just joined us! The children have made a great start to the year and are very happy and settled. They have adjusted really well to the new way of doing things and we are so proud of the way they are coming in independently each morning.

We have lots of exciting activities planned this term to bring our Book Based Curriculum to life! We will be supporting the children to make rapid progress in their learning through play and guided activities. We have chosen a focus book for each half term, so that over their time with us the children build up a bank of stories that they know really well and can retell. This will particularly support their Communication and Literacy skills.

This Year’s Focus Books

 

All the children are expected to wear Southglade School Uniform every day, our school colours are burgundy with grey/black trousers, skirt or pinafore, and black shoes. Please ask if you require more information.

Please remember to send your child to school each day with their water bottle, with their name clearly labelled. Only water should be in these bottles though, no juice or flavoured water please.
