History vision statement:

At Southglade Primary and Nursery school, we want all of our pupils to have a deep understanding of the past and how history might shape their future. Our history curriculum develops pupils' curiosity of how past events have shaped the modern day and enables them to have a better understanding of the society in which they live and that of the wider world. We aim to support our pupils to think critically, weigh evidence, develop chronological understanding and generate arguments. Wherever possible, cross-curricular links are made to overarching themes to help contextualise what children have learned.
