Autumn 1 is a super exciting half term! Our English work is focused around our class text which is My Dad’s a Birdman by David Almond. 
 

We also look at birds throughout our migration topic. Our curriculum enquiry question is “I wonder what causes migration?”. In our curriculum lessons, we will look at which animals migrate and why, four-figure grid references, graphs and the use of maps and atlases. 
 

The first half term focuses on place value and addition and subtraction in Maths. We will be recapping our work on this from Year 3, as well as introducing these areas in Year 4.
