Maths
Warm Up
Today you you need to practice your numbers between 40 and 50. Using the 100 square provided in your learning pack, your grown-up needs to say numbers between 40 and 50 and you need to point to them as fast as you can.
Fluency Friday
Today is Fluency Friday. Your first task is to take your Gem Maths test (these are still in the Gem Maths page link from the main Year One page of the website). Remember, you have three minutes and are not allowed to use anything to help you (apart from your fingers if you need to but we are trying to do them in our heads where possible). If you score 19 or 20, you can move on to the next level.
Once you have completed that, have a go at these worded problems. Some of them require two steps so make sure you think really hard about what you need to do.
1. Seven birds are perched on a branch. Two more birds land on the branch. What is the total number of birds now?
2. On Halloween, I went out trick or treating. The first person I saw gave me three sweets, the second gave me four sweets and the third person gave me three sweets. How many sweets did I get?
3. I like to play with toy cars. I have five red cars, two blue cars and two yellow cars. How many cars do I have altogether?
English
Lots of children have been practising their letter formation and joins with their handwriting, which has been amazing to see. We are beginning to learn more joins with our handwriting. Can you practice using the Pen Pal videos below to guide you?

Activity - Photo Props
We know lots of children love taking photographs and selfies with their family. We would love you to make some photo props and take some fun photographs with your family.
Phonics and Reading
We would like you to click on the videos below and watch the phonics lessons from Letters and Sounds. Activities which you can do to apply the sound are in the video and there are also linked underneath.
After, please watch the videos on the phonics resource and support section which practices all your phonics sounds using the flashcards which we use at school. Have a go at saying the sounds along with Miss Smith. Make sure you are saying the pure sounds accurately.
Don't forget to read your book everyday.
