This half term our focus text in English and shared reading is Anglo-Saxon Boy by Tony Bradman. We are going to be writing our own adventure stories. 

Our curriculum driver this half term is History and we are going to be looking at the Anglo-Saxons! Our enquiry question is I wonder what life would have been like as an Anglo-Saxon? We will be spending these lessons focusing on our historical skills such as using evidence, comparing to different eras and drawing conclusions on our own interpretations.

In Science, we will be looking at sound and how it travels to enable us to hear things. We will be completing our investigations too, and basing our work on the story Horrid Henry Rocks.

We have two units in Maths and these are split into three week chunks. Our first unit is place value, where we will be recapping our understanding from Year 3. Our second unit is addition and subtraction.
