Week 2
Up, Up and Away with Amelia Earhart
This week during our curriculum sessions we have been learning about Amelia Earhart who was the first female to fly across the Atlantic Ocean and she did this in 1929.
We read lots of information about her life and learnt a range of different facts including when she was born, who was in her family, what her greatest achievements were and what happened to her! We then used these to answer comprehension questions.
Finally we thought of some questions we would like to ask her if she was in front of us right now.
As part of our topic on transport we began to learn about Henry Ford.
He created the car in America in 1903.
We looked at the original car he made and then went outside to study cars that we have now.
We looked and compared the similarities and differences.
