In English, we have started our poetry text type. The children have read a range of poetry examples with an Ancient Egyptian theme. They identified poetry features such as alliteration, rhyme, repetition, similes and metaphors. They have also tried to write their own verses with a partner focussed on hieroglyphics, the sphinx and pyramids.
