Maths
Starter
Begin with your Gem Maths as usual. Next you are going to practise counting up and down in 5s. Start from zero and see if you can count up to and then down from fifty. Then try counting up and down from other multiples of five within one hundred. What do the numbers always need to end in when you are counting in 5s?
Make Equal Groups - Grouping
Today you are going to practise making equal groups from a given total as an introduction division. You are not going to be doing any formal division at this stage but are going to record and show your understanding through sentences instead. You are also going to see if you can recognise amounts that cannot be grouped equally.
Watch the video below of me grouping some objects.

Now have a go at seeing what can you can group various numbers in. Use some objects or items from around your home to help.
Try seeing if you can put the following into groups of two, five or ten:
6, 7, 15, 20
Which of the numbers would split into groups of two, five or ten? How could you tell? Don't forget to count the number of groups you have each time.
Once you have done this, complete the table and try the questions below.
The questions are attached in a document below.
English

This week we are thinking about what makes a balanced diet and being healthy.
Phonics and Reading
We would like you to watch the phonics lessons from Letters and Sounds which are located on YouTube and also uploaded on the phonics resource and support section in the Home Learning part of the website.
We are uploading the videos from the previous week and would like you to keep checking the Phonics section each day, especially if there is a sound your child needs to work on. Please feel free to revisit this sound, as this is what we would be doing in class to consolidate understanding.
If there are supporting activities to support the video, they will be underneath, There are also some videos using flash cards. Please have a go at saying the sounds along with Miss Smith. Make sure you are saying the pure sounds accurately.
Don't forget to read your book everyday
