We have started our new text type in English: diary entries. So far the children have read examples of diary entries and created a success criteria. They have also compared the diary of Anne Frank with a section from 'Diary of a Whimpey Kid' to look at language structure and register. The children have created their own talk for writing actions for a WAGOLL diary entry based on our class book 'My Dad's a Birdman.'
