'Believe to Achieve'

Week 1

Good morning,

Another sunny day today laugh

Perhaps you could do something to help out mums/dads today. Could you help with lunch? Or perhaps some cleaning? They are working super hard to look after you while school is closed, maybe there is something you can do to give a little bit back.

In your work today you have some music! Don't worry, no instruments are required, you just need this link which is in your pack..

You could even try and convince someone at home to join in with you!

Have a great day smiley

More animals!

If you enjoyed seeing what the animals were up to at Edinburgh Zoo, have a look at these links for some of the other Zoos around the world.

Good morning,

By now, you are probably starting to miss doing some of the things that you were allowed to do before being asked to stay at home. While, at the minute, it is super important that you follow these rules and stay at home, it doesn't mean you can't start to think about the future.

Every time you wish you could go somewhere, do something or see someone, write it down on a piece of paper and keep it in a jar/mug. Then once this is all over and we can return to our normal lives, you can start to do all these things. It might be things like: stay over at Grandma's house, visit the ice-cream van, play on the park with friends.

You're all doing amazingly and should be really proud of yourselves. Keep going smiley

Need a new book to read?

Follow the link below to a collection of free e-books.

Good morning,

In your work for today, there is a book review for you to complete about Skellig. If you can't remember what happened or you would rather complete a book review for your own book, that is fine.

Have a super day, make the most of the sunshine and remember to ask someone at home to email me some pictures of your work for our class blog, we would love to see what you have been up to.

Parents/carers, thank you for your continued support, you're doing a great job!

Here's a link to the Body Coach's daily workouts. This is a great way to start your day.

Good morning,

Here's your work for today. It's set to be a really nice day today so perhaps you could do some of it outside in your garden? Remember, you must stay at home now to protect yourselves and the people around you. If you do go into your garden, what can you see, hear and smell? Write a list for your work books.

I will also be working in my garden today, it's a great opportunity to read in the sunshine as well.

Have a super day smiley

Poetry

I think some of you will enjoy these poems, there are lots of funny ones!

Can you make up one of your own using the structure of one of the examples to help you?

Just a reminder...

Good morning year 6!

We know that this is a very different start to your Monday morning as it is for some of your teachers too! This week, you will find your work uploaded to these pages to keep you busy at home. But please remember to take the time to rest and keep yourselves healthy. Also, while you are at home you can be super helpful to your parents and carers - this will be a big change for them too and they will be doing a super job of looking after you as well as doing all of the things they need to. This is a great opportunity for you to spend time with your families and learn alongside them cooking, writing letters, learning how to complete jobs around the house etc.

You have worked so hard this year and we are so proud of you and will continue to be as you become even more independent learners. Please look after yourselves and your families and know that we will miss seeing you and teaching you each day.

Mrs Smith Recommends.....

AUDIBLE

At the moment, audible are letting children listen to stories completely free so you can keep up with your wonderful reading while you are at home and libraries are closed. I will be listening to audiobooks as I work so if I come across any that I think you will like I will recommend them on here for you to listen to.

If you have any recommendations, ask somebody at home to email me and I will upload them too.

All you need to do is paste the following link into your browser and get reading!
