Week 5
We finished our own zoo!
We set up our zoo to show our parents the wonderful design and technology we had done this half term.
We were so proud of how well we did.
It was a fantastic half term and we did an amazing job learning all about the different zoo animals.

Diwali Day
We celebrate Diwali day in Year One by doing lots of amazing
activities.
Someone in 1S was a Hindu and he celebrated Diwali so he brought in photographs of him doing different Diwali activities including lighting diva lamps and making rangoli patterns.
He explained this was when he went to India, it was so lovely to hear how he celebrated his festival.
We did some Bhangra dancing, played matching pairs with information we learnt about the celebration, wrote acrostic poems, designed our own rangoli pattern and made firework pictures from chalk!
