Recap on the talk for writing example and pick out key features of reports. Sort different pieces of information into paragraphs and think of sub-headings for each paragraph.

Distinguish between the introduction and conclusion.

Activity

Children to plan their own report using the suggested pro-forma or simply into their work book. Think of the different paragraphs and sub-headings that will be required.

Children to also write an introduction to their report (draft introduction)

You could use a planning format on Purple Mash if you wanted to.
