In our learning this week we have been writing letters using our book The Great Kapok Tree as inspiration. We have been writing to the woodcutter of the tree asking him to leave the tree and explaining why the Tree is so important to humans and animals of the rainforest. The children have learnt lots during this topic about the rainforest and animals. We have also been learning geography skills and using compasses to learn about directions and map reading.
