Geography
The children worked in groups to research one of the following questions:
What is migration?
Why do animals migrate?
Which animals migrate?
The children used ELS books, Ipads and information handouts to create a poster. Then, they formed a larger group and shared what they had learnt.
Later in the week, we read the book Going Home: The Mystery of Animal Migration. The children were given pictures of animals within the book. They used their inference skills to infer which migration story each page of the book referred to. We then discussed the different reasons for animal migration.
