Healthy Living Week
This Friday was Healthy Living Day. We discussed; the importance of sleep, what a good sleep schedule is and how we can improve our sleep schedule. We created a non-chronological report based on our research. Then, we discussed the eat-well plate and the food groups. We worked in pairs to create our own healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner menu using our understanding of the food groups. After that, we played feelings bingo and discussed what mental well-being means. We spoke about how it is ok to have not so good feelings and what we can do to overcome this.
This week, we started to write our own play scripts based on Chapter 5 of The Firework Maker's Daughter. We rehearsed freeze frames and acted out the play script. We used these ideas to help us starting drafting our own.
In Maths this week, we have been consolidating our understanding of time. We have looked at telling the time to the nearest minute. Year 3 have tried so hard with time this week!
