I believe that this text by David Almond is a magical story that will stretch your imagination to its very limits. It would appear that the story is set in a series of normal locations but the main character Michael is likely to experience many supernatural events. Skellig sounds like a mythical extraordinary creature and I know this because he is described as, " A strange kind of beast never seen before."

Luckily, Michael has a trusted friend in Mina who he knows he can confide in. I cannot wait to read more of this and to experience how Michael's word will change forever.
