Week 1 - The children have enjoyed learning and reading our first traditional tale 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. The children have been planting their own beans and making leaves for our class beanstalk!

Week 2 - The children have thoroughly enjoyed reading The Three Billy Goats Gruff this week. They have been practicing retelling the story using props in small groups. We have also been very lucky with the weather this week and had our fruit and milk outside!

Week 3 - This week, the children read the African traditional tale 'Anansi the clever spider'. They had a great time making spiders using black paper, chalk and pipe cleaners for legs. We even made some clay pots of wisdom!

Week 4 - The children had so much fun making Chapattis with Mrs Bilan as part of our focus story this week 'The Runaway Chapatti'.

Week 5 - We enjoyed finishing our traditional tales topic with Little Red Riding Hood. Well done to the children who got 100% attendance this half term, a very well-deserved ice lolly!
