Mini Police- Oxclose Police Station Visit
As part of the Mini Police programme Year 5 having been taking part in, 5CS got to visit the local police station with the PCSOs.
The Custody Manager gave the children a tour around the custody suite and the children saw the holding room, cells, fingerprint room and interview rooms.
The staff were really impressed with their behaviour and hope that some of them become police officers when they are grown ups!

Mini Police Graduation
Year 5 had their last session of Mini Police and finished with a graduation where the children were presented with certificates by the wonderful PCSOs. The children have learnt so much about the criminal justice system and how to be successful and respectful citizens.
We have really enjoyed the sessions and working with PCSO Thompson and PCSO Wallis.

Year 5 Galleries of Justice Museum Trip
Year 5 had a brilliant time at The Galleries of Justice Museum in town. They learnt about Youth Court and re-enacted a scene from a Judicial Courtroom. The children took on roles within a court and did some brilliant acting! This trip linked with the work we have been doing on Hole by Louis Sachar and the character Stanley Yelnats stealing trainers and finding himself at the terrible Camp Green Lake.
It also linked with the work Year 5 have been doing with Mini Police and understanding the criminal justice system.
