In English our text is 'Not Your Typical Dragon' by Dan Bar El. We have focused our lessons on teaching the children a range of adjectives to describe the main character in the book - Crispin. The children have used this new vocabulary to create wanted posters for him!

English - character description

In PSHE we have been learning the new code of conduct.

Our RESPECT code of conduct now stands for:

R - Responsibility

E - Empowerment

S - Safe

P - Perseverance

E - Empathy

C - Collaboration

T - Tolerance

We have been teaching the children these new words and what they mean, also linking it to British Values.

Democracy

In class this week we have been discussing what democracy means. When we selected our school counsellor, we talked to the children about the importance of voting and how every vote counts.

The children who wanted to run for school counsellor wrote some reasons why on their whiteboards and stood up in front of all the other children to explain and give their reasons. We them all voted with our eyes closed for who would be our school counsellor.
