Maths Ambassadors

Meet the Southglade Maths Ambassadors 2025-26

Franco

Maths is my favourite subject at school and I have always enjoyed this lesson. I was so glad to be chosen as a maths ambassador and really enjoy helping out in maths lessons.  My favourite part of being a maths ambassador is working with other children in the school.

Kyran

I was really privileged to be chosen to be a maths ambassador. I have always enjoyed learning maths even from an early age. The role gives me the opportunity to learn many new things and is very rewarding.

All About the Role

Maths Ambassadors play an important role in supporting children during maths lessons by working closely with both pupils and the Maths Coordinator. They help younger students by looking through maths books to check understanding, offering peer support, and giving feedback that helps improve teaching and learning. The ambassadors also take part in pupil voice surveys, gathering valuable opinions from classmates about how maths is taught and how it can be improved. A key part of their role is helping to prepare the Year 4 pupils for the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC), providing encouragement, practice, and tips to help build confidence and fluency with times tables.
