Please tune into CBBC or follow this link at 11am to watch a live lesson all about Safer Internet Day!
Safer Internet Day - Live Lesson - BBC Teach
Attached below is a sheet you may want to look at whilst you watch the show. Have a go at filling it in or making notes on a seperate piece of paper!
Alternatively, have a look at the Smartie the Penguin Powerpoint and design a poster, leaflet or short video explaining how we can stay safe online.
We look forward to seeing what you get up to!
Spelling
Yesterday we began looking at plurals. You should have noticed that plurals end in 's' or 'es'. Today we are going to be thinking about when we should add s and when we should add es.
Most words we just add 's' too such as
books
shoes
cars
jumpers
However..
Such as
churches
foxes
boxes
glasses
The 'es' in these words almost makes an 'uh's' sound.
Have a go at the activity below:
English
Today we are going to be writing up the glossary page for our book. Can you remember where the glossary goes in a non-fiction book? Why are glossaries used in non-fiction books?
A glossary is similar to a mini-dictionary at the end of a non-fiction book.

Have a go at filling in a glossary for your book too. You could use a dictionary or an online dictionary.
Maths
In maths today we are looking at vertical lines of symmetry. If you have a small mirror or something shiny, this will really help you in today's lesson!
When something is symmetrical it means that it is exactly the same on both sides of a line down the middle. There are lots of things in nature that are symmetrical, like butterflies and leaves. Your face is symmetrical!
Watch Miss Storer explain today's lesson in this video: https://southglade.primarysite.media/media/symmetry-090221
Can you challenge yourself to draw some really whacky symmetrical shapes?
You could also take your mirror around your house to help you find symmetrical items, or even outside if you have a garden.

Science
Today, the children at school will be making one big piece of artwork using recycled materials that we have been gathering over the half term.
You guys at home can make your very own piece of artwork using materials from your house that would usually be recycled. Things such as bottle caps, magazines, newspaper, junk mail, cardboard packaging and empty wrappers.
Have a look at the ideas below for some inspiration. In class, we are going to make a rainbow with all our recycled materials but you could do anything you like :) Please send a photo to your teacher when you are finished as we would LOVE to see what you make.
