  • Athlete Visit

Sun 11 Nov 2018 Mr Pegram
On Wednesday we had a very special visitor who  delivered an assembly about resilience (our learning value this half term). Alan Rapley competed in the GB swimming team during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Although he had missed out on qualifying for the 1992 Olympics by 0.05secs, hard-work and perseverance allowed him to fulfil his lifelong dream. He inspired the children and helped them to realise that anything is possible when you are resilient. Special thanks to Mrs Morton and Miss Smith for organising this fabulous opportunity!
