Year 2 had a roaring good dragon Birthday party!
Tue 10 Nov 2020Year 2 had a fantastic day at the end of the Autumn term.
They put on their best party clothes and had a birthday party for Crispin, the dragon from their class text.
They used their finance skills to work out how they could pay for the party food, writing a menu and designing the dinner for the party. They turned themselves in to dragons making 3D dragon masks, wrote birthday cards and had a party. It was a fantastic day and they enjoyed celebrating.

Fri 02 Oct 2020Please visit our Covid-19 section within our Key Information section. This now contains our remote learning policy which will be activated in the event of a bubble isolation due to a positive covid-19 case or in the unlikely event of another Tier 4 national lockdown.
We are auditing what technology parents have at home so that we can support in the event of the remote learning policy needing to be activated so if you haven't already please fill in the technology audit letter that was sent home a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks in advance

Music Mark School
Wed 16 Sep 2020Southglade Primary and Nursery School have been nominated to become a Music Mark school for the academic year 2020/21.
We were nominated by the Nottingham Music Hub in recognition of our commitment to providing a high quality music curriculum.
Music Mark recognises and champions schools that value a broad and balanced curriculum.
Nottingham Music Hub will be leading weekly music sessions for y4-y6 pupils whilst pupils from y3 and below will have weekly music lessons following a scheme called Music Express.
We really hope that we will be able to invite parents into our school to enjoy the children showcasing their music once the situation with covid-19 is resolved.

IMPORTANT Re-opening Plans for all pupils in September 2020
Mon 20 Jul 2020We have been very busy over the last few weeks preparing school for a full re-opening in September to all our pupils.
In our 'parents letters' section of the website you will find a copy of my letter that explains how school will reopen safely to all pupils in September.
It's rather a long read, so you may want to get a nice cuppa and a biscuit to enjoy whilst you read it.
As you can imagine there has been a lot to plan to ensure that we can safely reopen to all pupils and parents and I hope that the letter reassures you of this.
Please be reminded that in September school attendance is mandatory for all pupils.
