Donations for Ukraine
Sun 06 Mar 2022We are continuing to collect essential items this week that will be sent to the people of Ukraine. A huge well done to Julia B in 5M for showing great responsibility in organising this so that we, as a school community, can help the people of Ukraine in some small way.
Many thanks for all your donations, kindness and generosity so far!
We will be collecting until Thurs 10th March, as the items will be going on a lorry this Friday.

Reception Merits
Fri 04 Mar 2022Today we celebrated Polar Bear and Penguin Merits. Two silver merits were awarded and twelve bronze. Well done to all of the children who received a merit today- we are so proud of you!

Handball Competition

Mrs Finnie took a group of year 5 pupils to a handball competition on Thursday 3rd March . They all tried really hard and showed great sportsmanship throughout. Keep it up. Mrs Finnie was especially impressed with Jaylen- well done Jaylen!

There have been so many amazing costumes today as we mark World Book Say across school. Here are a selection of pictures from across the whole school. Later today, winners from each class will be chosen- these children will receive a book as a special prize. There will be a separate update to celebrate these children. A huge thank-you to all parents/ carers for all your support with making all of your children look fabulous today.

KS1 Spring 1 Merit Assembly
Wed 02 Mar 2022Today we gave out our Ks1 Spring merits. It was so wonderful to see everyone has done so well with their learning and made such brilliant progress. I know it was so hard for the teachers to choose!

Boccia Tournament
Wed 02 Mar 2022On Tuesday 1st of March a group of y5 and y6 pupils took part in a boccia tournament. They were so good at this that they won bronze medals for our school. Well done to you all!

Ks2 merit assemblies

Learning Value
The children were all very proud to receive their certificate and a badge (either bronze or silver). We really hope that after Easter we will be inviting parents into school to celebrate their children's merit awards.

Pancake Day!
Tue 01 Mar 2022Nursery have had a great time tasting pancakes with different toppings! We tried jam, lemon juice and syrup. Which one is your favourite?

Handwriting awards
Mon 28 Feb 2022Today our first handwriting awards were given during assembly. Children were picked for working hard to improve their handwriting and presentation. Each child who was picked got a certificate, head teacher's pencil and 'super handwriting' wristband. Well done to everyone who was spotted this week!
Mrs Thomas will award new certificates every Monday- so keep working hard and it could be you!
