  • Our amazing musicians perform live at the Area Band!

Tue 15 Mar 2022 Lisa Hyland

On Tuesday this week, 6 of our incredibly talented musicians packed up their brass instruments and set off to perform in front of a live audience! Family members packed the hall at Ellis Guildford School and were entertained with 3 pieces of music from the live orchestra made up with children from a number of local schools. Our children performed with their brass instruments as well as harmonising vocally and the audience were also entertained by a local vocal group and guitar group. The Southglade musicians were an absolute credit to our school; they performed well and all had smiles on their faces as the audience burst into applause at the end. Well done to our super talented musicians - you did your Southglade family proud!

Mrs Dowse was so proud of the children as they performed their dance in front of a large audience. They scored highly but were up against some touch competition.

Mrs Dowse mentioned the great team spirit and enthusiasm that the group showed and the support that they gave each other and also other schools as well.

Well done to the wonderful year 6 pupils and a huge thanks to Mrs Dowse for all of the work you have put into this dance and to Mrs Finnie for supporting the group on the evening of the performance.
