Wow Basketball Day

Children across the school enjoyed a brilliant experience meeting Paul Sturgess who played basketball for the Harlem Globetrotters. He was in the Guinness World Records for being the tallest professional basketball player there has ever been. He has also appeared in films such as Avatar 2 and in TV shows such as Doctor Who.

The children listened to him talk about his life and they all got to take part in PE activities with him.

The weather was glorious throughout and the children's behaviour was noted for being impeccable.

Below is a picture of Mrs Hyland with Paul Sturgess who is 7ft 7.26 inches tall.
First Day Back

We were all so impressed with the sensible attitude that children displayed today on their first day back at school. The children enjoyed being able to play anywhere on the playground with their friends at break and lunchtime and also loved settling into their new classes. We hope they continue with this great start tomorrow. Please note gates and classroom doors open for all pupils at 8.30am. We want all children to be in their classes and ready to learn by 8.45am at the latest. We have a lot of work to complete this year and a lot of learning to catch up on after 2 years of disruption.
