This half term our focus text in English and shared reading is How to Train your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. We are going to be writing our own instructions on how to care for a dragon egg, and our own narrative based on the story.

Our curriculum driver this half term is History and we are going to be looking at the Vikings! Our enquiry question is I wonder what Britain would have been like if the Vikings did not invade. We will be spending these lessons focusing on our historical skills such as using evidence, comparing to different eras and drawing conclusions on our own interpretations.

In Science, we will be looking at sound and how it travels to enable us to hear things. We will be completing our investigations too, and basing our work on the story Horrid Henry Rocks.

We have three units in Maths and these are split into three two-week chunks. We will be starting with consolidating our understanding of decimals, before moving onto money and then time.
