Curriculum Driver
Week Three
This week we started to look at the design process of our Viking projects. We even had two architects come in and support us with our planning! We had a great workshop and can't wait to make our 3D models of Viking houses in a couple of weeks time!
Week Two
This week we looked at how to be safe when taking part in Design and Technology. We looked at safety signs, how to store tools safely and how to take care when using equipment and machinery. Then, we worked in groups to create a quiz on staying safe and our classmates completed the quiz.
Week One
This week we started our new curriculum driver by looking at the history of electricity and audiences. We chose different products and discussed the audiences that they are aimed at. We also spoke about how we could adapt the product to suit another audience. This helped us to think about what our end of unit project might look like, and which type of Viking community it would be aimed at.
