'Believe to Achieve'

Week 4

We have had a very busy week in Year 3!

In English we have been working really hard to understand the features of instructions so that we can learn how to write our own.

We have been washing pretend Woolly Mammoths, bossing our peers round using imperative verbs and even used Talk for Writing to learn the instructions to 'How to wash a Woolly Mammoth'.

In Maths we have been really focussing on using our knowledge of place value to support us with adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers from a 3 digit number. We have been using lots of practical resources to help us to understand why we have to exchange 10's to 1's in some sums.

In our Curriculum driver lessons we have been learning how to use the Green Screen to create a museum video explaining the Stone Age to others. We have also been exploring timelines and noticed the difference between BC and AD.

We have also been to our new library and have been enjoying spending some quiet time reading our favourite book.

What a fabulous week!
