Evaporation experiment

Today you are going to complete a little experiment linking to evaporation. For this experiment you will need; a see-through cup/glass, water, marker pen. 

1) Pour water into the cup.

2) Draw a line on the cup to where the water comes up to.

3) Place the cup in a sunny window

4) Observe what happens to the water. Each time the water decreases, draw another line. What do you think is happening to the water?

Think about how you are going to record your results. You might find it easier to take pictures of the water each time it decreases, or you might like to draw a table and measure how much the water has decreased.
