  • KS1 celebrate the ASDA token scheme

    We are so pleased to announce that we have been fortunate enough to gain £200.00 to help towards the redesign and development of the equipment in the KS1 outdoor area from the ASDA green token scheme. Thank you to everyone for their support. 

  • Human Chain

    This afternoon, we created a whole school human chain to show our support for Anti-Bullying Week. The children linked arms to symbolise how we are all connected. They then passed messages to each other about how to stop bullying.
  • Operation Christmas Child

    We have been working on creating shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child in line with our new Learning Value 'empathy.' Thank you to everyone who brought something in to donate!
  • Y6 Visit to the Holocaust Centre

    On Wednesday 13th November, Year 6 pupils went on an educational trip to discover how Jewish children who lived in Germany were affected by WW2. We followed the story of Leo Stein who lived in Berlin and was eventually taken to safety on the Kindertransport to start a new life in Great Britain. It was a lovely day which fitted in perfectly with our learning value of empathy.
  • Creative arts ww2 performance

    Today, the y6 performing arts group mesmerised their audience of pupils and parents with a WW2 themed show that featured outstanding dance and drama. The children look wonderful in their costumes and performed with real conviction and enthusiasm. Thank-you to Mrs Dowse and all of the year 6 pupils who did so well.

  • Anti-Bullying Week Assembly

    This week is Anti-Bullying Week and this year's theme is 'change starts with us.' The School Council delivered an assembly to launch the week. They created a role play about two children who were being bullied and what they could do to try and stop it. They also learnt the song 'You've Got a Friend in Me' and performed this to the rest of the school.
  • SEND Coffee Morning - Wednesday 6th November 2019

    Thank you to everyone who came to our coffee morning today. We had professionals from the Autism Team, Behaviour Support Team, Family support and Mental Health First Aid who chatted informally with everyone.

     

    Feedback from parents included:

    "I really enjoyed talking to everyone...they gave me so much information on how to do things at home and when we are out and about."

    I really enjoyed, "Meeting other parents and talking through issues with professionals."

    "It was like therapy."

    "Thank you for your ongoing support."

  • House Points Reward

    Well done to Cedar House for winning earning the most House Points for Autumn 1. On Tuesday, 2F, 4P and 6PS enjoyed ice cream and an extra play as a house.
