  • Y6 Kingswood Residential

Wed 25 Oct 2023 Mr Pegram

Between the dates of 18th October and the 20th October, Y6 pupils went on their residential to Kingswood.

The children enjoyed a range of activities including; a campfire with loads of energetic singing and games; beach activities including hole digging and sculpture building; the leap of faith; Jacob's ladder; mini-beast hunts in the pouring rain, sports of activities and funny races on the lawn and problem solving.

The children also enjoyed time in their dorms and chilling out with their friends. The weather on the first two days was kind. The Friday was wet thanks to Storm Babet- this resulted in a five and a half hour journey. However, we all arrived home safely.

Below are a few pictures of the trip.

On Monday 16th October, Polar Bears and Penguins visited the local post office. They all walked very sensibly up Beckhampton Road; when in the post office, they all had the opportunity to purchase a stamp. They then visited the post box where they posted the stamp into the letter box.

    Everyone had a brilliant time.

    Well done!

    Well done to Y2

  • Max and Milo Update

Thu 05 Oct 2023 Mr Pegram and Mrs Yates

Our school rabbits, Max and Milo, are now approximately 15 months old. They spend a lot of time being stroked and looked after by many of our children during the school day- Max (in the picture) is the easier one to cuddle.

Below are some year 6 pupils with Mrs Yates- they are about to start their weekly job on ensuring Max and Milo have clean and comfortable cages.

If any family would like to look after Max and Milo for a weekend, or over a holiday, then please contact Mrs Yates- there is a waiting list as they are very popular rabbits!

  • Creative arts group visit to Goose Fair

Wed 04 Oct 2023 Mrs Dowse

Today, a group of 11 y5 artists went to the Goose Fair Site to sketch the different rides and to take a wide range of pictures. This is part of their creative arts work with Mrs Dowse. There were no rides open but the children still enjoyed their visit and had an opportunity at the end of the visit to buy some sweet treats before heading back to school.

They were a credit to the school and hopefully will produce some incredible work linked to the visit.
