India afternoon 22.11.22
Our theme for EAL afternoon this term was India.
We kick started the afternoon with a wonderful Indian themed lunch that included curry and naan bread.
Children in foundation had a relaxing afternoon taking part in some mindfulness colouring whilst listening to bollywood music. They also had the opportunity to taste test some naan breads and chutneys.
Year 1 spent the afternoon designing their own Mendi patterns and listening to bollywood music.
Year 2 had a fabulous afternoon designing their own jewellery, listening to bollywood music and taste tested home made mango lassi.
Year 3 and Year 6 took part in a Bhangra dance workshop. Year 3 also taste tested some naan breads and chutneys.
Year 4 conducted some research about Kalpana Chawla who was the first woman of Indian origin to go to space. Influenced by Kalpana, Year 4 then wrote down their own dreams, how they can excell, and how they can inspire others.Year 4 also taste tested some naan breads and chutney.
Year 5 recreated their own Warli paintings.
