The AET Framework is targets set by the class teacher and SNAs by assessing the individual child’s needs. There are usually around five targets chosen per child per term for the SNA to work on and deliver on a weekly basis. A lot of the targets set are physical activities which are evidenced through photos in the individual child’s book. The targets can be anything from transitioning skills, independent skills, life skills (getting dressed, cooking, hygiene etc.), self-regulation, socialising and interacting with others.
