Happy History

This half term we have started our new curriculum driver of Transport linked to topic. 

The first week was learning all about transport from the past and present. 

We also discussed transport which was in the past and is still in the present. 

We talked a lot about the transport we know and learnt new terminology including sudan chair, steam train, chariot,  and pedalo. 

Marvellous Maths

We have begun looking and comparing numbers to 50 this half term!

As a class we have ordered numbers and begun to explore the comparisons between larger and smaller numbers.

We are also developing our reasoning and tackling lots of hard questions where we have to prove if something is true or false through use of concrete and pictorial methods. 

Excellent English

We have been exploring the new vocabulary we learnt in our History lessons and using these to write sentences. 

As part of our lessons this week, we have learnt a song about transport and used this to answer comprehension questions. 

We have also been thinking about our new text 'The Hundred Decker Bus' where the bus goes on an adventure. We have started off looking at other people's adventures and will be thinking about our own adventures as we develop our topic.
