Oakwood English Morning

On Monday 23rd September, Year 6 were invited to the Oakwood Academy for a morning of English. The pupils had to work as a team to create a brand of sweets of chocolate with a Halloween theme. They then had to create a persuasive advert and a jingle to encourage others to purchase their product. They were very creative and packed their writing with persuasive features including:

- the benefits of the product

-exaggeration

-rhetorical questions

-slogans

- repetition

- appealing sumptuous adjectives that appeal to the senses

The behaviour of all the pupils was good. Well done Year 6.
