Welcome to Southglade Primary and Nursery School

A very warm welcome to the Southglade Primary and Nursery School website. My name is Alison Thomas and I am the Headteacher.

Southglade is a happy and successful school where children are encouraged to ‘believe they can achieve’ in a safe and nurturing environment. We want to inspire our children to try their best (and be confident to make mistakes) in order to fulfil their own potential in all areas of learning and life. In order to achieve this we ensure that all our children are provided with a stimulating and creative book-based curriculum supported by a wealth and variety of enrichment activities both on and off the school site.

The standards of behaviour at Southglade are good and visitors to school frequently comment on the politeness of our children. The way our whole school treats one another is hugely important to us and we aim to ensure that all our pupils show RESPECT for everyone and make everyone feel valued.

Quite simply, Southglade Primary and Nursery School is a wonderful place to learn. I am extremely lucky to work with such a dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff and governors who are totally committed to ensuring that each child is happy and achieving their full potential.
