Day 1
We started by thinking about our awe and wonder question and whether we think that robots will take over the world. The children then thought about some questions that they would like to find the answers to throughout the week.
Some of the questions were:
Why were robots invented?
What would happen if robots started talking to each other?
What jobs do robots do?
How can robots follow instructions?
Geography - Fact hunt
The children used a digital map of school and grid references to locate different information points around school. At each station there was an interesting fact about different types of robots and the jobs that they have.
DT - Designing Robots
The children worked in groups to design, make and evaluate their own robots. They had to think carefully about the function of their robot.
